Everything we do here is deliberate. Nothing is thrown in for the sake of it, and nothing is wasted. Every drill, every hold, and every rep has a clear purpose. We want you to understand not just what you are doing, but why you are doing it.
You will learn how each movement should feel, where it should be working, and how to control your body with more precision. The goal is not just to train harder. It is to move better, get stronger, and build real confidence in what your body can do.
We train to challenge limits without running ourselves into the ground. Fatigue is not the target. Progress is. Strength, balance, and control are built through consistency, attention, and intent. The work is demanding, and that is exactly what makes it worthwhile.
Training alone can only take you so far. What makes this place different is the people beside you. The ones who push you harder, call you out when you slack off, and cheer the loudest when you nail it. This isn’t just a gym; it’s a crew.
Kaizen is all about small achievable steps of continuous improvement, towards a long term goal. For us at TKM it is a road map towards selecting, understanding and refining an incredible movement practice that works for your body no matter what ability level or age you begin with. There is always a movement progression for someone to work towards that benefits their goals. We focus on skill acquisition through gymnastic strength training, flexibility and strength and conditioning. We’re excited to meet you and help you create freedom of movement.
Our focus is to create freedom of movement through a range of proven modalities. We develop strength and conditioning, movement skill, mobility, and pain resilience, while encouraging exploration and play to help the body move with confidence, control, and longevity.
Once your mindset shifts, everything else follows. We help you build the right mindset in and out of the gym through tools that require openness, refinement, and consistency, developing resilience that carries into every aspect of life.
You are what you eat, and what you have eaten over time matters. We focus on high-quality nutrition to support recovery and performance, while also exploring gut health and the role of bacteria in influencing overall wellbeing, resilience, and long-term results.
Gains aren’t made by how hard you train, but by how well you recover. Training creates the stimulus, but recovery is where adaptation happens. Sleep is the foundation, but true restoration also comes from nature, community, breathwork, and meditation, practices that replenish energy, calm the nervous system, and bring the body back into balance.

Especially if you’re looking for a down to earth trainer, that cares about moving properly, progression, but most importantly, having fun.Posted on Google Nicola LivrieriTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. You'll gain actual, useful strength, not just vanity muscles, and improve balance and flexibility. Commitment is a must though.Posted on Google Renan CastroTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I've been training at Kaizen for a little over a year, and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. Most classes (1h duration) are composed of a warm-up, then strength/skills, then conditioning, then cooldown/stretching, always including some mobility drills in the mix. There are also some focused classes beyond the normal ones (e.g., handstand on Wednesdays). They do 8-week programs to focus on certain exercises, where you test yourself on week 1 and week 8, in case you want to track your progression. I believe it's a great mix of calisthenics, mobility, strength, HIT, and overall "workout". There's a good mix of people from various age groups, genders, and skill levels. Each one can do the exercise variation that best suit their goals/capabilities. Classes tend to have between 10 and 20 people, some times going beyond that and feeling "packed", but still okay to do the workout. The Kaizen crew is great, and the community is extremely friendly. If you're thinking about trying it out, go for it! I'm very happy I did 😊Posted on Google Sigrid SlettebøTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Best gym on the Coast!! Always good vibes and lots of cool people (yes, including the coach, who can actually be quite funny sometimes). I always leave with a good sweat thanks to all the great programs Ollie keeps creating, while still keeping it fun! There’s even a specific handstand class with the amazing Sarah Best!! Would definitely recommend checking it out.Posted on Google Hunter CavanaghTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This gym is the first gym that I’ve been to where the community is truly the best. Ollie’s created a space where I’ve never felt judged or “bad” at something. Only pure support, fun, and loads of laughs. Best community in a gym I’ve ever experienced, best coach at explaining and giving progressions that actually work🤍Posted on Google Rachael SkyringTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Kaizen is a genuinely great training space. The coaches are awesome - friendly, goofy and extremely knowledgeable. The technique tips are spot on and super personalised. They meet you where you are. I am definitely at the tail end of ability in this group, and I fell seen and encouraged. And I'm getting stronger. The regular folks who show up multiple sessions are also good fun and so inspiring with the things they can do! The culture is high fives all round at the end of every session. It's great. I think Ollie has DJ dreams - he takes the music choices seriously. The house rocks.Posted on Google Andrew CTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great non-judgemental environment for learning how to move your bodyPosted on Google Nicole O'BrienTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Transformative Experience at The Kaizen Movement. I absolutely love my time at Kaizen! It’s consistently the most physically intense yet enjoyable part of my day. As a cleaning lady, I find that the concepts and techniques demonstrated by the coaches not only enhance my workouts but can copy them into my daily life, making my often long and tiring job much more enjoyable. Having spent most of my adult life training in traditional gyms, I can confidently say that the coaches and personal trainers at Kaizen are truly in a league of their own. Their explanations and demonstrations of human movement are not just clear and insightful; they often incorporate humour, making the learning process both engaging and effective. For instance, they can break down complex skills—like handstands, into manageable steps that make them seem effortless. What really sets Kaizen apart is the personal attention each coach provides. They take the time to help and correct everyone, ensuring that we all progress at our own pace. Ollie and the entire coaching team have built something incredibly special here. It’s not just a gym; it’s a welcoming community that I feel happy to be a part of. If you’re looking for a place that challenges you physically while also being a supportive and fun environment, Kaizen is the place to be.Posted on Google Ashleigh MillerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Working out at The Kaizen Movement has been the first time I’ve truly enjoyed exercise as an adult! It’s not your typical group fitness class, Ollie is an amazing trainer and always has time for you if you have any questions or concerns during the session. The vibes are always great within the group and I always look forward to my workouts there!Load more
Not at all.
Most people start somewhere in the middle of their journey. Some are already active, others are completely new to structured training.
Our approach is built around progressions. That means movements can be adjusted to your current level so you can build strength, control, and confidence over time.
You don’t need to arrive “ready.”
You just need to start.
That’s completely normal.
Most people walking through the door have never trained these movements before. Everything we teach is broken down into clear progressions so you can build the foundations properly.
You’ll start with the basics, learn the shapes and positions, and gradually develop the strength and coordination required for more advanced skills.
Everyone starts somewhere.
Each session is built around purposeful training.
Classes typically include a mix of strength work, skill development, mobility, and movement drills. Some days may focus more on lifting, others on skills like handstands or ring work.
The goal is to develop a body that is strong, mobile, coordinated, and capable.
Every session has intent behind it.
That’s part of the process.
Learning new movements takes time, patience, and practice. If something feels difficult, we simply adjust the progression so you can keep building the strength and technique required.
Small improvements add up over time.
That’s the Kaizen approach.
Yes.
Because we use structured progressions, the same movement can be adapted for beginners or advanced athletes.
Some people may be learning their first push up while others are working toward muscle ups or advanced hand balancing.
Everyone trains at their level while moving forward together.
No special equipment is required to get started.
We use a mix of barbells, kettlebells, rings, and bodyweight training tools during sessions, all provided at the gym.
If you are training online, programs can be adjusted depending on what equipment you have access to.
We focus on functional strength.
This includes lifting with barbells, kettlebells, and dumbbells, as well as bodyweight strength through calisthenics and ring training.
The goal isn’t just to lift weight for the sake of it, but to build strength that improves how your body moves.
They support each other.
Strength builds the foundation.
Mobility gives you access to better movement.
Skill training teaches control.
When these three elements are trained together, the body becomes stronger, more resilient, and capable of learning complex movements.
Most gyms focus on workouts.
We focus on movement.
Our training blends strength, skill development, mobility, coordination, and locomotion so you build a body that can actually move well.
It’s not just about training harder.
It’s about training with purpose.
In many cases, yes.
That said, it’s always best to let your coach know about any injuries, limitations, or concerns before training, and to consult with a qualified medical professional where appropriate.
Once we understand what you’re working with, training can usually be adjusted. Progressions and regressions allow us to modify movements so you can continue building strength, mobility, and control without aggravating existing issues.
The goal is always the same.
Help you move better over time while training in a way that is sensible and sustainable for your body.
